target audience moodboard analysis

Everything on this mood board is aimed at the target audience for my magazine which is the male gender. I have chosen the image of the two girls as this is what the boys want to see when they go to the nightclubs. The bottom left image is the bass tunnel which is what everybody in the age range of my magazine dream to walk through.

advertisement moodboard analysis

Every image on this mood board will have something placed inside my magazine to advertise their company. Each company will get a minimum of half a page in the magazine.

I have chosen these companies because they relate to everything a young male is interested in and they all have links in some way.

font moodboard analysis

All of these fonts are aimed at the male gender as it would be my main target audience.  Although all of these fonts are clean they are the perfect fonts to link in with the concept of my magazine. I have chosen a dripping marker as well because I liked the look of it and I thought I could use it somewhere in my magazine.

colour moodboard analysis

I have chosen these colours because they appeal to my target audience who like to go to nightclubs with bright lights flashing everywhere. The blacks, greys and whites will be used for the fonts and on some of the backgrounds if they link in with the article.

questionnaire analysis

We conducted a questionnaire before we created our college magazine to find out who are target audience would be and what was expected to be published inside. We questioned a wide range of people but managed to ask 50% of males and 50% of females. 90% of the people that we asked said that they do not read the college magazine so this shows to us that the product we are creating is not working the way we expect it to.

For our contents of our magazine people have asked for fashion, music, jobs advice and sports to have articles. If we place these in our magazine then we will be able to push our reader’s percentage up as students will be able to read about the things they like.

Results show that 60% of the people we asked would like the magazine to be published monthly but 60% would not pay for the magazine. To achieve publishing monthly we will need to price the magazine at a low price so that we can still make money from it to publish more.

40% of the people we asked say that they would be willing to contribute in the production of the magazine helping with the photography, interviews and technical work.

For the front cover we have been asked to use bold colours like blue, black, white and red. A bold title and many images have also been requested.
